A spooktacular time was had by all at The London Improv Theatres Magicians Showcase Halloween show! It was great to perform alongside the following talented artists Luke O’Neill, Don Neufville, Chris Benkin and Stuart Turner.
Mr Quinn visited earth to greet the humans and was well received, with a great audience willing to help out on stage.
The evenings host, Darren McQuade dressed as the Joker, did a splendid job and Stuart Turner headlined with a fantastic zombie act that you can check out at Jitters on Halloween night!
With frequent recordings of my set rehearsals, I’ve got used to critiquing oneself when watching playback. This has also proved hugely beneficial when tweaking the script. Filming the live show helps immensely and gaining feedback from magician friends.
My magic mentor, Rob Zabrecky, has been instrumental in helping me bring Mr Quinn to the stage with his fantastic notes and feedback on my script and filmed performances. The magic community on social media has also been greatly supportive in bringing my act to life. I’m looking forward to bringing Mr Quinn to a wider audience and soon, the world!
Also looking forward to the upcoming Portsmouth Jumbo Day to catch up with some magical friends. The magical Oliver Tabor will be lecturing and performing in the gala, and hopefully the magnificent David Penn will be showing us his amazing trick!
